Access Basics provides parents with information on all of the communication
modes for their deaf or hard of hearing child in an impartial manner.  To
assist with selecting a communication option parents are given an in-home
presentation of the following modes of communication:

American Sign Language/ Signed English
Auditory-Verbal
Auditory-Oral
Bilingual/Bicultural
Cued Speech
Total Communication

Access Basics will also attend IFSP/IEP meetings, communicate with school
administrators and make referrals to other professionals.  Parents are given
resources on their medical, audiological and school options.  Access Basics
educates the parent so they can make informed decisions with and for their
child.  The choice is the parents'.
